About us

Who’s behind Carbon Floor?

Carbon Floor is built by Kriti Gupta, who has spent her career in the uncomfortable but profitable space where numbers, risk, and behavior collide.

Highlights

Founder & co‑founder experience

Has worked with startups and early‑stage ventures from the inside and outside: co‑founding, advising, and helping teams turn chaotic ambition into something investors actually understand

Consulting & advisory background

Led cross‑functional projects in corporate strategy, risk management, internal control, ESG, and sustainability, from first “is this even viable?” conversations to execution and monitoring

Serious finance chops

Chartered Accountant (India), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), and MBA from the University of Notre Dame, with hands-on experience in corporate finance, investments, capital investment facilitation, and fund strategy.

Forensic accounting & fraud detection

Trained to spot weak controls, creative accounting, and numbers that don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt. That lens now gets applied to carbon claims, ESG data, and overly optimistic projections before they embarrass anyone

Climate & investment intersection

Experience in sourcing deals, running due diligence, shaping investment theses, working with carbon project developers, and working with management teams and boards on climate‑aligned strategy.

Teaching, mentoring & ecosystem work

Faculty with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, mentor at 4Ward.earth, and an expert consultant deeply involved in climate, sustainability, and cleantech. Hosts monthly meetups and conversations that pull together founders, operators, and investors who are serious enough about climate to handle uncomfortable questions.

This mix of startup chaos, advisory discipline, forensic suspicion, and ecosystem work is why Carbon Floor does not accept numbers, narratives, or offsets at face value.

How we work

We work with a small number of teams who are serious about change and open to having their numbers and narratives challenged.

If you want your current strategy or climate story kept exactly as it is, we are probably not the right fit. When we do choose to work together, we focus on three things: clearer strategy, more defensible financial decisions, and climate and carbon positions that are transparent and auditable.

You are always free to decide that this is not the right moment. We are equally careful about saying yes.
